About Course

Developing pupil voice on a whole school level means finding ways to elicit information from learners about their views and experiences while also involving them in decision-making in a way that is genuine and authentic. In this course, we explore a variety of approaches schools can take when seeking to develop and embed pupil voice. As well as focussing on practical strategies and techniques, we also look at some of the key challenges you might face when developing pupil voice, and what you can do to overcome these. By the end of the course, you will have started to develop a plan of your own, outlining how you want to take forward pupil voice in your school, and the benefits you think it will bring to learners, teachers, leaders, and the school community as a whole.
