About Course

This course will provide users with a foundational understanding of children’s needs and attachment styles. It also provides information on theories supporting mental health interventions. Users will learn how to support students to feel safe in the classroom environment to enhance learning.
For children to succeed in school, they need to feel safe and understood. Sometimes, children do not feel safe at school due to external circumstances. Teachers have the unique opportunity to intercede as primary caregivers when a child does not have the best environment to receive emotional support at home. After completing this course, users will be able to apply practical interventions in the classroom.
