About Course

Teachers can choose to follow many different paths when it comes to developing pupil voice at a classroom level. All centre on a common goal: seeking to better understand learners’ views and experiences and to give learners an active role in decision-making around teaching and learning. Through this, teachers can gain a better understanding of where their learners are at, how they experience the classroom and what they want from their lessons. In turn, teachers can then give learners an authentic, genuine experience of being involved in the development of classroom teaching and learning. In this course, we will explore all these issues, and suggest some of the starting points you might choose to use when developing pupil voice in your classroom.
