About Course

Collaborative learning is a key feature of classrooms across the world. Working together, learners can achieve a huge amount, while also developing the skills they will need when they enter the wider world. Research suggests structured collaborative learning is of most benefit to learners, helping to create the best outcomes. In this course, we explore some of the key considerations every teacher needs to be aware of when using collaborative learning, focusing on how to plan and deliver collaborative learning experiences that are thoughtfully structured and that take account of the needs of all learners.

What Will You Learn?

  • To be able to justify the relevance of collaborative learning in the classroom and outline a range of key considerations teachers should be aware of when planning and leading collaborative learning.
  • To be able to apply at least two of the strategies, techniques and activities we explore to your own teaching, and critically reflect on the impact on your learners.
